Casey Roberson Colgan

Owner and Director of Legend Academy of Dance

Casey Colgan is the Director and Owner of Legend Academy of Dance. She received her formal training at the Conservatory of Ballet Aviv in Mandeville, Louisiana, where she developed a strong foundation in classical technique and artistic excellence. While training at the conservatory, Casey completed an intensive teacher training program that ignited her passion for instructing and mentoring young dancers — a calling that continues to shape her work today.

Casey is certified by examination through Dance Masters of America and Louisiana Dance Masters, reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of dance education. She is dedicated not only to cultivating technical excellence, but also to fostering confidence, discipline, and character in each of her students.

Through her leadership at Legend Academy of Dance, Casey strives to create an environment where dancers grow both artistically and personally, developing the skills and values that will serve them well beyond the studio.

What inspired Legend Academy of dance?

From your Director:

I founded Legend Academy of Dance to create a space where both students and families feel at home--a safe, welcoming community. My goal is to develop each child's technical skills as a dancer while grounding them in real-life values and strong foundations. Dance is a powerful expressive art form and a beautiful way to move through life. My goal is to build meaningful connections with every student and family who walks through our doors, growing together both within the studio and beyond it.

I want to teach your child to be a legendary dancer and a legendary human. Professionalism, time management, responsibility, and support are just a few things I hope your child takes away from our studio. Whether they start with us young or older, we will be so happy you choose to train with us.
